• Spanish vocabulary woven throughout the story

• Hands-on tortilla or quesadilla activity (real food or art/craft choice)

• Social/Emotional Learning around book themes of frustration and patience

• Discussion about food, family, and culture

• Q&A with the author

• Optional signed books available for families
